At the law firm of Hornsby, Watson, Hornsby, Blackwell & McKown, we trace our roots to 1988 when long-time Huntsville attorney Ralph W. Hornsby, Sr., retiring Circuit Judge S.A. Watson, Jr., and David Meginniss joined together. From its founding, our firm has been a dedicated plaintiff's civil litigation practice providing the highest quality legal services to its clients. In 1992, Ralph W. Hornsby, Jr. joined the firm. In 1998, Jeffrey G. Blackwell left a Birmingham law firm to move back home and join the firm as well.

In 2001, one of the firm's founding partners, David Meginniss, retired from the practice of law to become a full-time minister. Rev. Meginniss now pastors a church but remains a valued friend to all the firm's partners.

After serving as law clerk to the Circuit Court of Madison County, Alabama, Jennifer L. McKown joined our firm in 2001.
